Call me a geek, but I think these lenticular Thunderbirds stamps are pretty cool. Issued by theĀ Royal Mail to celebrate Gerry Anderson’s creation, they are the first ‘motion stamps’ of their kind.
They were originally developed by lenticular printersĀ Outer Aspect for Royal Mail. Using their printing technology the stamps show the opening sequence of the Thunderbirds T.V series. This effect is achieved by layering video images together to create moving images when viewed from different angles. So clever.
